The Institute's Library, besides books, journals and newspapers, provides an extensive array of resources centered around the latest computer based information services. On-line research, a CD-ROM network, an On-line Public Access Catalogue and other databases form the core of the library's resources and provide users with the necessary tools to conduct advance research. Furthermore, through the Institute's library the researcher can tap into the libraries of Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences as well as to the libraries of other Universities in Greece.

The purpose of the Library is to support the Institute's members, researchers as well as the undergraduate and postgraduate students of Panteion University.
--------------------------- Collection ---------------------------
The subjects which are covered by the collection are primarily in the fields of International Relations, social and political sciences, economics, international law, philosophy, education and history (in both Greek and English). The library collection is open access and the users can research the materials themselves. The main collection is classificated according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (21 ed.).
Specifically the Collection consists of:
- 2000 book titles
- a newspaper archive
- journals titles
- 6 CD-ROM's Databases
- Basic Library of International Humanitarian Law and International Armed Conflicts (donated by the International Committee of the Red Cross).
----------------- Department of Information ------------------
Consists of encyclopedias, dictionaries, bibliographies and other bibliographic material. In the Department of Information there is a terminal PC for searching in electronic databases and the Internet.
----------------------------- Loan ------------------------------
With the use of a library ID, which is issued from the loan desk, users can. The journals and the information materials (dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc.) are excluded from loaning. For specific information on loans, you can request for additional information from the librarian.
-------------------- Bibliographic Proposals -------------------
The library users can make bibliographic proposals by completing the necessary documentation from the loan desk.
------------------------- Photocopies -------------------------
On the first floor of the Institute, a photocopy machine is available for the library's users.
--------------------------- Networking ---------------------------
The Library of the Institute of International Relations is a member of EINIRAS and the National Documentation Center of Greece. It also cooperates closely with the Library of Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences.
