Presentation

Irini Chila is Associate Professor in International Politics at Panteion University of Athens. She got her B.A. on Political Sciences, Athens University Department of Political Sciences and Public Administration (1981), her M.A. in International Studies (1984), Université Paris II –Sorbonne and her Ph.D. in International Relations, Panteion University of Athens (1987).

Her research and teaching interests are on Theories of International Relations, political aspects of International Organisations, Analysis and Conflict resolution approaches. Her latest contributions include: "International Society. Historical and Contemporary Aspects”. Athens 2006 (Herodotos) and the editing of vol. 22-23 of the Journal Mesogeios, La Grece dans le sud-est europeen, enjeux regionaux et perspectives, Paris 2004 (Herodotos). She is vice director at the Institute of International Relations of Panteion University. She was a Stanley J. Seeger Visiting Fellowship at Princeton University. She was also Visiting Research Fellow at King’s College, London.
