Chairman of  Working Table on Democratisation,  Human Rights and Rights of Minorities in the Stability Pact for South  Eastern Europe.

Member of the Committee for Economic, Monetary Affairs and Industrial Policy.    

Rapporteur of the Committee for the European industrial  policy.  

Appointed by the Committee to formulate the European   Parliament’s position regarding industrial policy proposals. Rapporteur of sudy on the competitiveness of European industry in relation to United States and Japanese industry. This study, "INDUSTRIAL POLICY IN AN OPEN AND COMPETITIVE ENVIROMENT – GUIDELINES FOR A COMMUNITY APPROACH", European Parliament, Brussels 1991, was presented at an international seminar; an important contribution to the new chapter within the Maastrich Treaty.

President Delors and Vice-President Bangemann acknowledged in a letter the importance of this report which has subsequently been publisched in a Special Edition of the European Parliament.

Member of the sub-committee for Monetary Affairs.

Responsible for proposals for monetary cooperation so as to avoid monetary speculation.

Rapporteur of the Sub-Committee: Examined concrete measure in order to improve international monetarycooperation and to avoid international monetary speculation.

The conference organised by the European Parliament with the participation of the International Monetary Fund and various International Organisations resulted in a study conducted by the Rapporteur and published in a Special Edition by the European   Parliament, "INTERNATIONAL MONETARY COOPERATION WITH THE FRAMEWORK OF THE EASING OF RESTRICTIONS ON CAPITAL MARKETS", European Parliament, Brussels 1993.

 Minister of National Economy: In charge of coordination of the economic policy of the government which included the National Budget, Income, Investments and Monetary Policie

Supervision of the preparation of the first Greek Investment Program within the framework of the European Community structural funds.
