In 1994 the Institute acquired its permanent headquarters in a renovated neoclassical building in Plaka, the old quarters of Athens, right underneath the Acropolis. The Institute's modern facilities provide offices for Resident Faculty and visiting scholars, seminar and conference rooms, administrative offices, a study room, and a library.
