The Institute of International Relations (I.I.R.) of Panteion University, on the occasion of the 20th year anniversary since its founding, organized an international conference entitled “The World and Greece in 2030” that took place in Athens on May 19, 2010. IIR is Greece’s leading academic center for the study of international politics.
Our goal was to provide a forum for an in-depth discussion about the challenges our world is likely to face in the next twenty years and the responses that Greece and its leaders need to come up with. For this reason, we invited the nation’s political, business and academic leadership together with a group of distinguished guests from abroad, under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic. Topics included: a) new challenges to the international system, b) Europe after Lisbon and c) the new Greek foreign policy. |
