The Institute of International Relations organizes annually an International Summer Seminar. The Seminar was established in 1992 and for the first six years it took place on the island of Corfu. Since 1998 till 2008 it has been held in the island of Hydra. The 2009 Seminar has been held in the island of Santorini.  Many prominent politicians, academics and experts in the field of Inter-national Relations, Politics, Development and Economics as well as senior diplomats and journalists have participat­ed in the Seminar.

Around 356 students have participated in the Seminar since its establish­ment representing over 35 countries including: Egypt, Ethiopia, Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Greece, United Kingdom, United States of America, Iran, Spain, Israel, Italy, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, South Africa, Holland, Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Hungary, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Turkey.
