ACIPE has undertaken to examine the way in which the issue of Greek economic crisis has emerged in the public discourse of different countries and regions of the world economy.

Main research questions include:

  • What are the main similarities and differences in the way in which the issue of Greek economic crisis was communicated in different European countries (including Germany, France, Spain, UK)?
  • What conclusions can be drawn from this analysis about this crisis itself, as well as about the nature of 'European public discourse'?
  • How has the issue of Greek economic crisis been communicated beyond Europe , and especially in the USA, Japan, China, India and other emerging economies?
